Joan Smalls hints at Candice Swanepoel rift over Tom Brady relationship in pointed ‘accountability’ post

Joan Smalls took to Instagram Tuesday with a pointed message about accountability amid a major falling out with model pal Candice Swanepoel over Tom Brady.

“This Halloween, I’m dressing up as accountability. Apparently, that’s the scariest f–king thing some people can face,” the message read.

It appeared that Smalls had re-posted the note from another content creator.

The post came just hours after Page Six exclusively revealed that Smalls is furious after learning that that Swanepoel is dating the former New England Patriots quarterback.

Smalls herself had a fling with the NFL star, but a source told Page Six that Smalls and Brady were never really serious.

According to our source, Swanepoel had encouraged Smalls to dump Brady — who was previously married to Gisele Bündchen — while the two were dating.

Now, Smalls is telling their friends that they need to pick a side. In since-deleted comments posted to social media obtained by DeuxMoi, she also branded her former friend of 15 years as a “backstabber.”

In another since-deleted message shared by the outlet, Smalls lamented about “girl code.”

“And the disrespect and carelessness in how they treat you is so unimaginable. There’s no going back. Some people lack humility and moral compass,” she added.

“And the way they gaslight, lie and minimize your feelings is the worst slap in the face after 15yrs or friendship. Not a sorry said or written. Onwards and upwards!!!” her comment concluded.

In addition, Smalls also made a reference to “Summer House” in a social media comment. The Bravo show’s most recent season saw Ciara Miller and Amanda Batula’s friendship go up in smoke when the latter began secretly dating West Wilson, the former’s ex.

However, despite how Smalls may feel about the situation, it looks like Swanepoel’s relationship with Brady is still going strong.

Sources told Page Six that the seven-time Super Bowl champ and Swanepoel have in fact been together “for months” after being set up by a mutual friend.

“Candice has always been exceptionally private about her personal life, with her focus remaining on raising her children,” Amanda Ruisi, a representative for Swanepoel, told us Tuesday. “She and Joan share a longstanding history and a friendship that Candice will always respect.”

Page Six has reached out to reps for Smalls, Brady and Swanepoel for comment.
